The Two Envelopes Problem: Recent Developments in Identifying the Second Membrane in Herpesvirus Envelopment
نویسنده
چکیده
Virion assembly represents an elaborate molecular jigsaw, coordinating numerous individual components to construct an infectious agent. For enveloped viruses, such as HIV, influenza and Herpes Simplex Virus-1 (HSV1), a vital piece of this puzzle is the acquisition of a membrane. Unlike viral proteins, this is not produced de novo, but derived directly from existing host membranes. The host’s secretory system, an extensive network of internal membranes, is exploited to provide this material.

Herpes simplex virus 1 envelopment follows two diverse pathways.
Herpesvirus envelopment is assumed to follow an uneconomical pathway including primary envelopment at the inner nuclear membrane, de-envelopment at the outer nuclear membrane, and reenvelopment at the trans-Golgi network. In contrast to the hypothesis of de-envelopment by fusion of the primary envelope with the outer nuclear membrane, virions were demonstrated to be transported from the perinuc...
متن کاملRecent developments in configuration design and optimization of mineral separation circuits; A Review
The present research reviews two basic approaches for the separation circuit configuration analysis. The first approach is to optimize the circuit configuration. In this method, after a circuit modeling, a variety of search algorithms and mathematical optimization methods are used. Previous works show that this approach has more application in the flotation process. The second approach called t...

متن کاملUsing lexicographic parametric programming for identifying efficient hyperpalnes in DEA
This paper investigates a procedure for identifying all efficient hyperplanes of production possibility set (PPS). This procedure is based on a method which recommended by Pekka J. Korhonen[8]. He offered using of lexicographic parametric programming method for recognizing all efficient units in data envelopment analysis (DEA). In this paper we can find efficient hyperplanes, via using the para...
متن کاملSpectral Estimation of Stationary Time Series: Recent Developments
Spectral analysis considers the problem of determining (the art of recovering) the spectral content (i.e., the distribution of power over frequency) of a stationary time series from a finite set of measurements, by means of either nonparametric or parametric techniques. This paper introduces the spectral analysis problem, motivates the definition of power spectral density functions, and reviews...
